Wrote a new song this week. I wanted to do something minimal and a little jazzy. On the musical end, I wanted to write a song with a diminished chord and I can check that goal.

For the story of the song, I thought about the music. The word play for slowing a relationship down versus enjoying time is on purpose. Seeing performances by legit songwriters like Verlon Thompson has rubbed off on me in the way I approach story telling in a song.
