On Song International is hosting a live video contest. At the monthly songwriter night I host at Michelle’s in Eureka, MO, I took video of the first hour or so of my first set. The two songs are “Regular Dress” and “Ring My Bell” off my 2018 album New Vintage. Ring is often an opening song when I play originals and Dress is often a closer. Once I had a decent take of Regular, I decided to follow with Ring so the order was natural.
I wanted to capture a new song, “That Way.” This is a upbeat RnB number. A few songs into my set, I started the song and my foot fumbled over the looper button. I made the comment after the song and noted that yes, live looping although it can make for a big sound, can be messed up. It is live. 🙂
