So, if you’ve seen the excellent Elvis movie, you may recognize this song. When I perform, I often mention this was Elvis’ first single. I have to share my favorite performance of this song. A few years ago, I had a gig near my parents. The night was split with another performer. As we got ready to start playing, I wanted to do a special song to start off and played this song. My parents weren’t huge Elvis fans but he was special to them as they remember seeing him on TV on The Dorsey Brothers show. That was a story they would retell several times when I was younger and would watch Elvis movies as a kid.
