Mask will be released April 2022. Since planning the 2021 release of Blood Candy, I have been mulling over the question of doing singles or albums. Until the pandemic, live music was 96% of my music income. Since working at home, I’ve worked to increase my online presence. Albums make economic sense for me and Mask is aimed at Spotify as the way to break even with the release.
There will be four music released before the album release date. Starting in December 2021, the first song “Store” will come out December 2 at 3:30pm central on my YouTube. Starting that date, you can pre-save the album on Spotify, pre-order on Apple Music with “Store” being available upon pre-order purchase, or pre-order from me with downloads or CD’s that include bonuses. “Store” is a rock song that has a sound I’ve been chasing for years. The thick riffs and rocking groove will be one you will want to turn up loud.
The music video for January will be a hip-hop track. This new album has some creative uses of genre and goes from rock to hip-hop to alternative to groove to classical. The video for February is and alternative rock song and planned to be a collaboration with a YouTube friend. The video for March will be a modern rock song. The week of release, I’ll have live stream listening parties on YouTube. After release I’ll have one to two more music videos.
